I was recently contacted by Blue the founder of TandHK who introduced me to the brand and asked if I would be interested in reviewing one of her products. Having already been following TandHK on Instagram and seeing other users great results I was excited to try it out for myself. The product I chose to trial and review was –

INGREDIENTS
Kakadu Plum Extract- Kakadu plums are an amazing superfood which is actually native to Northern Australia. For many years aboriginal people have used this fruit for it’s antiseptic and soothing properties. They are the worlds richest source of vitamin C which is more than 50x that of oranges and are full of anti-oxidants. Because vitamin C stimulates an amino acid that’s required to make collagen, Kakadu Plum can help plump and restore skin cells resulting in amazing anti-ageing effects.
Phenylethyl Resorcinol- Also known as Symwhite, is a synthetic compound that is partially derived from natural lightening compounds found in scotch pine bark. It’s a clinically proven skin brightening ingredient and is used in many anti-aging skincare products.
Shea Butter- Is an off-white coloured fat extracted from the nut of the African shea tree. Commonly used in moisturisers and lotions as it’s naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers a light UV protection of SPF 6 and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I am a big lover of skin serums but havn’t tried many specifically formulated to lighten and brighten the skin. I do find my skin to be dull at times and especially in the cooler weather my skin seems to loose its glow.
The packaging to me was nice and elegant. I liked the silver tube and the convenient pump top. The formula was a nice consistency and was a white/cream colour. I wasn’t a big fan of the scent but it wasn’t something that worried me. Only a few drops were needed to cover my face and it did not leave my skin feeling greasy or oily. It did leave my skin quite shiny though so I wouldn’t recommend leaving the house after applying. The serum soaked well into my skin and left it feeling smooth and nourished. I applied it at night after cleansing as I like waking up to nice skin in the morning. Though the instructions recommend using twice a day or more I am often to lazy to use in the mornings!
MY RESULTS
I’m very lucky to have skin that is not prone to pimples, not oily or not dry. Though as I said earlier it can be dull. My skin tone is not perfect and I have been noticing more wrinkles as I head towards my 30’s.
After using the serum for one week I noticed my skin feeling softer and looking healthier. I found it gave similar effects to when I use a face mask or get a facial. It instantly gave my skin a beautiful glow. I didn’t notice any improvement on my wrinkles but like many products results are more likely after long term use (and by using more frequently)
