RIMMEL RADIANCE BB CREAM

I have to admit that I am a bit of a BB cream hoarder. I have tried many brands, in different shades and formulas and find my self switching between products with no real favourite. Here are my thoughts on the new Radiance BB cream from Rimmel.

I was excited to have the opportunity to try Rimmels new BB cream and compare it to similar products I already use. I like to wear BB creams when I’m not wearing much makeup. I like the fact that they moisturise the skin as well as giving a light coverage. I have heard great things about Rimmels recent foundation range so had high hopes for this BB.

The packaging didn’t really stand out to me much but we all know that it’s what’s on the inside that counts! It claims to prime, smooth, conceal, moisturise, minimise the appearance of pores, awaken & illuminate skin, give natural coverage and a radiant finish.

The consistency is smooth and not too runny. Blends well when applied with a foundation brush (I used my sigma flat top kabuki) or beauty blender. There is no need to apply a primer first as the product already minimises the appearance of pores and smoothes complexion . I was pleasantly surprised with the level of coverage. Other bb creams I’ve used don’t seem to cover my redness well. It gives a fresh glowing finish which can be dulled down with a finishing powder if you wish.

Overall I really liked this product and found myself pushing my other BB’s to the back of my makeup draws. The shade really matched my skin tone and it didn’t have that sunscreen feel like some of my other creams. If I could improve this product I would make it a little larger with more appealing packaging. I would happily recommend this to my friends and family.

The shade I have used is medium but is also available in light and extra light. It can be purchased from Priceline, Target, Kmart, Big W, Chemist warehouse, Coles and selected pharmacies. For RRP $12.95.
