I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the new shades from Rimmel Londons new range. Velvet matte in shade 017 matte-itude. It looks to be a classic matte black. I love the packaging on this nail polish, especially how the lid is on an angle. Very stylish!
On the back of the nail polish it states: Sumptuos nail colour with a velvet matte finish. I have never tried a matte nail polish before so was pretty excited to get my nails did and test this out!
The first time I applied this nail polish I was surprised how quick it dried and how matte it actually was. I only applied one coat and it looked really good. That’s until the next day when it started chipping like crazy!
I decided to give it another shot. This time using a base coat and base black colour before applying. It applied well and so far so good.
Something that is special about this nail polish is its unique shaped brush. It is flat and really helps with application. All up I think this nail polish is great. It takes a bit of getting used to but like most products practise makes perfect!
