THE PARCEL BY MARIE CLAIRE – SUMMER EDIT 2015 – UNBOXING

I love nothing more than a surprise parcel full of the latest and greatest beauty products. Since ditching the cheap and shitty subscription boxes (we all know who they are!) I have put my trust in THE PARCEL and I am yet to be dissapointed!

I somehow managed to scroll past everyone else’s pics on Instagram revealing what was inside the summer edit so I was extra excited to see what I had got!

In less than a second I had ripped the plastic off and had my goodies spread all over the bed. Here’s what was in the box-

Maybelline New York Colossal Pumped Up Volum’ Express Mascara  (FULL SIZE)

A girl can never have to many mascaras. This new release from Maybelline features a smooth formula with twice the collagen. It has a curved stem and a big brush to leave your lashes looking bigger & badder.

I’m not in desperate need of mascara and aren’t overly excited to try this. I find a lot of drugstore mascaras are similar and tend to stick with my favourites. Though it’s always handy to have backup mascaras and I adore the bright pink packaging!

Paula’s Choice Vitamin C Spot Treatment

Vitamin C is known to combat skin redness, age spots, acne scars and wrinkles. This treatment by Paula’s Choice contains 25% stabilised vitamin C with a silky texture to  reduce skin discolourations.

I have recently been trailing some products to combat my redness so am interested in giving this a shot aswell. I have never heard of this brand before but it looks to be good quality.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Skin Renewal Booster

A light weight anti-aging treatment which helps  boost your skins natural defences. It restores the skins surface layer for supple, smooth and radiant skin. Suitable for every skin type and works best before moisturising.

Anti aging products aren’t really a priority for me. Don’t get me wrong I definitely won’t pass up on a skincare sample from a high end brand like Elizabeth Arden. I am likely to use it one day but it won’t be the first product I’d reach for.

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (FULL SIZE)

More than just a nail polish. Sally Hansen’s complete salon manicure is a base coat, strengthener, treatment and top coat all in one. With a professional gel finish and a chip resistant formula for long lasting results.
Pink! Yay.. Love this shade! I’m so glad it wasn’t red. I just can’t pull off red! I have recently tried Sally Hansen polishes for the first time and was really impressed. I can see myself loving this nail polish!

Maybelline New York Color Elixir by Color Sensational (FULL SIZE)

A lip lacquer that combines the shine of a gloss, the colour of a lipstick and the comfort of a lipbalm. The ultra precise tip   ensures an even application.

This looks like a really wearable shade and something I would be likely to use. I have a heap of lipglosses but what’s another one added to the collection.

ZOEVA Eye Brush (FULL SIZE)

The latest makeup brush brand taking the limelight in the beauty industry. With high quality and luxurious brushes at affordable prices. Pieced with a Zoeva zip lock brush bag this product is the star of the beauty box.

OMG ZOEVA! I actually waved my hands around like a school girl when I saw this. I don’t own any Zoeva brushes but have always wanted to try them. I like how it comes with a brush case too!

Michael Kors Gold Collection EDP

One of the new scents from the Gold Fragrance Collection. Feminine and seductive, 24K Brilliant Gold shimmers with hints of orange mandarin, fresh floral and creamy notes of wood.

Ohh! Fancy! Michael Korrs is such a luxurious brand. I often forget to use little sample fragrances like this though. I will pop this in my handbag and hope I don’t forget it’s there. I don’t often lash out on perfumes but don’t mind a spritz for a night out.

Swisse Deep Sea Hydrating Mist Toner

Hydrate, rejuvenate and tone your way to youthful looking skin. Enriched with aloe vera, sea minerals and rosa flower oil this spray is perfect for refreshing your skin throughout the day.

I think I’m actually addicted to facial mist sprays lol. I’ve been using them morning and night. I love how refreshing they are. Definitly keen to get this on my face!

Lonvitalite Face Masks

Salon quality face masks made from natural ingedients to firm, hydrate and moisturise the skin. Suitable for a variety of skin types with each product targetting different skin concerns. I received the C3 Red Wine & c4 Coconut Milk.

Face masks are my weekend escape. These 2 masks from lonvitale sound beautiful. The hardest decision will be which one to use first!

Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm

The latest trend in cleansing. A makeup removing balm made with mango butter, rosehip oil and coconut oil. Simply massage onto dry skin and remove with a damp cloth for clean, supple makeup free skin.

I love natural products and removing my makeup at night can become a chore when my makeup removers don’t do what they are supposed to. I’m looking forward to trying this and hopefully finding a new favourite.

OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo & Conditioner

Restore shine and strength to damaged hair with the benefits of Moroccan argan oil. Safe for colour treated hair and free of sulfates and parabens. Helping to protect from heat styling and UV damage.

These look so cute! I havn’t tried this brand before so am not to sure what to expect. They seem to be a more high end supermarket haircare brand. These will be perfect for a weekend away.

YAY OR NAY….?

Most definitly a YAY! For only $25 this is definitly the best beauty subscription box I have purchased. It contained a good mix of fullsize products and genourous sized samples. There was also a great variety of product types. (Makeup, hair, fragrance & skincare) With many luxury brands and new release products from favourites like Maybelline. The RRP for this edit was over $100 and contained 10 products!

My favourite products received would have to be the Zoeva brush, trilogy balm and Swissse facial spray. Did you get this edition of The Parcel? What were your thoughts?
