1st YEAR BLOGIVERSARY

Hip hip hooray! Today marks the day! A year on since I created Lolas beauty room. And what a year it’s been! When I stepped into the blogging world I didn’t really know what I was doing. All I knew was that I had a love for makeup and I wanted to share it with the world. I wanted a place to call my own. Somewhere I could connect with my Instagram followers and share what I love. So that’s what I did.

  
 

What I’ve learnt

It’s not all rainbows and butterfly’s! Blogs actually are hard work! With a part time job, studying and taking care of my family it hasn’t been easy finding time to blog. Patience is key! Learning how to format posts, add pictures, insert links and change things around can be hard to learn. Google is your best friend! Gaining followers is a slow and steady process and it’s hard to not focus on the number of views. Readers will often not comment but you have to power through. 

What I’ve loved

My readers of course! That’s you I’m talking about! I can’t believe that my blog has reached readers from 50 different country’s! I’d like to thank each and everyone of you for your love, support and comments on my posts. Without you my blog wouldn’t be the same!

  
 
I have enjoyed trying and reviewing many  beautiful products from some very genourous brands and PR companies in the last year. I am very grateful and thankful to have the opportunity to work with such wonderful people! 

I’ve loved waiting for the postie to deliver my beauty parcels and I’ve had so much fun taking pretty pictures and playing with new products. I’ve enjoyed writing and editing and through the late nights and the hard work it’s all been worth it.

  
What’s next?

So now what? Do I have any plans for Lolas beauty room? Well first off to celebrate I have officially updated the blogs web address to lolasbeautyroom.com Yay! 

I would like to work on creating a logo and setting up a blogging schedule. None of this I’ll post when I feel like it stuff! I’d like to mix up my content a bit more and promote my blog more on Instagram to help gain more followers. I am also planing on updating my pages and menus on my blog also.
